Week 15

HE DID IT! For the first time in 5 YEARS Jay is under 300 pounds. Way to go! He is doing such a fabulous job at changing his lifestyle with working out and eating right. I can say for sure he'll never be over 300 again!

On the other hand, I should be careful making those promises about myself. j/k! This week I went up a smidge, but it put me back in the 180s however slightly. Just last week I said I had left that behind forever...so time to work a little harder and make that true!

Jay's New Weight: 297.0
Jay's Previous Weight: 300.8

Week 14

It's amazing to see the differences from 3 months ago until now. We are so glad to have the pictures to document these changes. Otherwise, we would still feel fat (which we still are) and not see the proof that we are changing.

Jay did not break the 300s, unfortunately. Our bodies don't always do what we expect. We have found even the slightest changes in our routine from week to week can really effect the outcome of our weights. On the other hand, I am very happy to leave behind the 180s, forever!

Make sure to tune in next week! I have a feeling he'll be leaving those 300s behind once and for all.

Jay's New Weight: 300.8

Week 13

YAY! We both hit our goals this week!

I had to adjust my eating this week especially after last week. I have been sitting at the computer working on photos rather than walking so much like last week. I had to make sure to push myself at the gym to burn the calories I needed to and also eat less.

Our reward: a piece of cake each. Yes, I know what you're thinking. We are trying to lose weight, why eat cake? We are learning to adjust our eating, not cut everything out. We wouldn't be able to stick with this lifestyle change if we got rid of all our guilty pleasures. So we just learn to modify our food rewards - instead of a whole cake like we used to buy, we bought one slice each that our store sells individually when they haven't sold the whole cake. As humans we reward ourselves with food, and every once in awhile, it's okay.

Jay's New Weight: 301.0
Jay's Previous Weight: 305.6
Jay's Starting Weight: 330

Our Weight History in Pictures

Just for kicks, I started pulling our photos up to see the difference in our weights with actual clothes on! ;) I was amazed at the changes, both bad and good.

Jay gained his weight soon after we were married, so he looks the same for the most part after our wedding photo. I have varied by a little until last year, when you'll notice in the last picture I was my biggest ever.

On a side note, how come in almost every picture I'm on Jay's left side? hmmm......

Click on each photo to see it larger.

I can't believe the difference working out while losing weight makes! I am the same weight as I was a year ago but I look about 10 pounds lighter than I did then. Our faces are really showing the change, huh? How hot is Jay?!

For anyone who didn't get a good look at this picture posted with the others above, here it is by itself. Can you believe that's us 6 years ago??

This is our goal weight:

Keith's Previous Weight: 216
Keith's Starting Weight: 221

Way to go Keith! And keep going anyone else who is working toward their weight loss goal with us!!
